While I agree with the overriding principles I think to make any significant reduction in car ownership will not be realistic.
With the increase in electric vehicles the carbon impact will not be as significant as for internal combustion engines and the flexibility of smaller vehicles should also be considered. There is no mention here of autonomous vehicles which, with time, will most likely form a significant part of public transport
