Shipston's infrastructure is not designed for any more housing. Raw sewage frequently comes up through the drains of the town from the new housing developments. The high school is oversubscribed, the doctor's surgery is completely inadequate for the existing size of the town, there is an area of restraint on Fell Mill/Angela's Meadow sites. There are no transport links in the town, the town square is too busy, and the roads within the town centre are narrow, and would not cope with additional traffic.
