No existing local employment, the relatively small size of secondary school (with no sixth form provision) and lack of public transport and poor roads, as well as the detrimental effect on the countryside makes this an inappropriate area for development. In addition, there are ongoing sewage issues in Shipston - given the inability of the relevant Council to ensure Severn Trent solve this over a number of years, it seems impossible that any further development would be possible.
