Increased traffic on Rouncil Lane, Rounds Hill, and nearby roads will harm both access and quality of life for residents who cherish the area’s views and historic footpaths leading to the castle. These roads also form part of the National Cycle Route, meaning more traffic will directly endanger cyclists’ safety. Protecting the greenbelt is essential to preserving the separation between Kenilworth, Leek Wootton, Beausale, and Warwick. Without it, these distinct communities risk merging, eroding both their identity and the area’s rural character. Thoughtful consideration must be given to safeguarding this important landscape for future generations.
