Shipston does not have the infrastructure for any more housing. It is already more than full to capacity.
The amenities, schools, medical centre, hospital, public transport, are inadequate and traffic does not flow through the town anymore, with gridlock too often.
The flood risk is increasing all along the river and the sewerage systems are already over capacity.
The character of the town has changed for the worse within the last 30 years. There are no improvements with the existing increase in the volume of houses, so more houses will exacerbate the problem.
