The Hatton site is on greenbelt and its agricultural nature is the crux of local rural character. Developing on greenbelt is environmentally destructive, ecologically damaging, and economically dangerous; Hatton is notable as a village entirely for its untouched feel, and that postcard-esque ruralism is increasingly in a rapidly urbanising nation; we must not damage out green and pleasant land for yet more housing development that is better suited to other sites.
