Preserving the green space east of Lillington is crucial for maintaining local ecology, as it serves as a habitat for diverse flora and fauna. This natural area enhances air quality by filtering pollutants, contributing to the health and well-being of residents. Converting this space into housing would increase traffic congestion, leading to elevated emissions and noise pollution. The area’s natural scenery offers aesthetic and recreational value to the community. Additionally, the hilly terrain presents challenges for accessibility and poses risks related to drainage. We concur with the Cubbington Parish Council’s stance on safeguarding this green space.
