The infrastructure in Henley is not able to cope with an increase in building eg. doctors, drains, sewers etc.
The proposed site is higher than the town which is already prone to flooding during periods of wet weather. Building on the proposed site would exacerbate run-off, causing more frequent and higher levels of flooding on the High Street and surrounding area.
The High Street is a conservation area with historic and listed buildings, many of which, without foundations. The impact of contruction vehicles and long term extra traffic could be catastrophic.
