I believe green belt land must be protected. There are no exceptional circumstances to justify its removal, as per the NPPF. Other sites are more suitable for development.
•No existing boundary for redesignation, reducing the gap between Kenilworth and nearby villages.
•It’s the second lowest housing capacity yield.
•Loss of productive farmland.
•Essential services, including the secondary school, are too far away and already overstretched.
•Increased traffic would negatively impact safety and access to well-used footpaths.
•The landscape quality and biodiversity would suffer, and important historical views would be lost.
Developers shouldn't influence site selection based on ease and cost.
