There is potential for a development around Gaydon to become a fully fledged Strategic Site. Its location on the M40, and potential for a New Settlement which could link it to a new station on the Chiltern Rail Line, would provide enviable travel connectivity to Birmingham Airport, Leamington, Birmingham, and London, making use of released train pathways once HS2 is open from 2033. Research centres and expansion of Warwick University could increase the employment offering, and a strong employment base would provide a New Settlement with a clear purpose.
