I strongly oppose the proposal of SG05 in the South Warwickshire Local Plan. This land is not just open space—it is a vital greenbelt that defines Lillington, Cubbington, and the surrounding areas. Development would erase its historical and environmental significance, strain local infrastructure, and set a dangerous precedent for further urban sprawl. Warwickshire needs thoughtful, sustainable planning that balances housing needs with environmental preservation. Once the greenbelt land is lost, it cannot be restored. I urge the council to protect this land and pursue smarter alternatives that respect the character, heritage, and wellbeing of our communities.
