The National Planning Policy Framework (2024) emphasises that local plans should meet housing needs sustainably. St Philips support the proposed Vision and Strategic Objectives for South Warwickshire but are disappointed by the omission of unmet housing needs from neighbouring authorities which undermines the plan's adherence to the NPPF. The SWLP needs to address the substantial unmet housing demand in the Greater Birmingham and Black Country Housing Market Area. Strategic Objective 2 should explicitly recognise this issue to ensure a positive approach to addressing cross-boundary housing needs.
