I have enjoyed many years living in the area and still visit frequently. I am horrified at the idea of building 7,000 new houses, due to insufficient infrastructure and frequent flooding. The narrow lanes are already hazardous for cyclists, horses, and dog walkers. Public transport is poor, and local services like schools and healthcare are overburdened. It is unreasonable to build on green belt and farmland when there are vacant buildings nearby. Supporting our farmers is essential for self-sufficiency, making this development proposal seem utterly illogical.
