I oppose the development at Hockley Heath due to existing surface water drainage issues and regular flooding on Stratford Road, which would worsen with further development. The land is designated Green Belt and should only be built on under exceptional circumstances. This proposal contradicts Solihull MBC's local plan, which allows only small-scale developments. It would increase traffic on the already congested A34, raising accident risks and harming wildlife. The village lacks the necessary infrastructure for such a large development. The burden in terms of schooling, transport, health, refuse collection would fall to Solihull, who have already opposed it.
