I oppose this proposal that threatens the cherished village status of Hockley Heath. Previous developments have already destabilised drainage systems, leading to increased flooding, and further building would exacerbate this issue. The plan violates green belt land and contradicts Solihull’s policy for small-scale development. Increased traffic on the A34 poses significant problems. Transforming this peaceful village into a crowded area disregards the traditional way of life. The lack of infrastructure, including a full school and closed local services, means Solihull would bear the brunt of any housing influx, potentially causing administrative disputes with the South Warwickshire authorities.
