I am horrified by the proposed housing development around Hockley Heath, which I strongly oppose. The village lacks the necessary infrastructure, with no doctors, limited schooling, and inadequate shopping facilities. The road network cannot accommodate the influx of cars, which would exacerbate rush hour congestion. Main and side roads flood regularly. Public transport is poor, requiring private transport to reach train stations. This development would transform Hockley Heath into a commuter town, causing disputes between councils over infrastructure responsibilities, ultimately burdening Solihull taxpayers with the costs of meeting South Warwickshire's housing numbers.
