I have lived in Hockley Heath since 1983 and wish to express my objections to the proposed strategic development plans. We face ongoing flooding issues and low water pressure, which could worsen with new developments. Traffic congestion is already problematic, and more housing will exacerbate this, contributing to pollution. The environmental impact would be severe, destroying long-standing hedgerows and woodlands. Local amenities are limited, with a full school and distant healthcare services. These developments threaten the village's character, merging it into a larger urban area. I urge a reconsideration of these proposals.
