I oppose development at Hockley Heath for several reasons. The land in question is Green Belt, contradicting the Council's stance on minimal development in such areas. This development would harm wildlife and biodiversity, and alter Hockley Heath's cherished rural character. Furthermore, it conflicts with Solihull MBC's local plan for small-scale development. I question the motivations of Stratford Council in suggesting a site that will mainly burden Solihull and question how Stratford will address the significant increase in population and its impact on local services. Additionally, I am concerned about the creation of local jobs to mitigate traffic congestion on commuter routes.
