I object to the proposed development of up to 5000 houses at Hockley Heath. I am a lifelong resident and 20-year-old student and I believe the village lacks the necessary infrastructure for such a large project. It is concerning that local authorities would consider building on greenbelt land, which is vital for wildlife such as birds, hedgehogs, and deer. This plan contradicts claims about environmental protection and sustainability. Once the greenbelt is lost, it cannot be restored, and we should focus on utilising existing buildings or brownfield sites instead.
