I strongly oppose the development at Hockley Heath (SG24) due to several reasons. The land is part of the Green Belt and should only be developed in exceptional circumstances. The proposed development contradicts SMBC’s local plan, which allows only small-scale projects. It would worsen traffic congestion on the A34, posing safety risks, and fundamentally change Hockley Heath's rural character. Additionally, the area lacks necessary facilities for a growing population, has drainage issues, and would negatively affect local wildlife and residents' wellbeing due to the loss of green space.
