I strongly oppose the inclusion of Hockley Heath in SG24 as a growth area in the South Warwickshire Local Plan. The proposal disregards the area's greenbelt status and would threaten natural habitats and drainage, exacerbating flooding issues. Local infrastructure is already under strain, with inadequate health services, schools, and public transport. Increased housing would worsen traffic congestion and safety risks on local roads. Without proper infrastructure considerations, the plan is unsustainable. The Solihull plan, recently withdrawn, suggested only a modest development of 100 houses in this area is feasible, highlighting the need for informed planning.
