The proposed developments in Lapworth village will severely impact its character and rural appeal, altering the landscape and threatening natural beauty and biodiversity. They will cause local traffic issues on key roads, overwhelming existing infrastructure and raising safety, pollution, and litter concerns. The use of agricultural land at Chessetts Wood Road is particularly troubling, as it is vital for local biodiversity. Increased impermeable surfaces will heighten flooding risks, which are already a significant concern. I strongly oppose these developments and urge the council to reconsider, as there is no evidence of local need for such extensive changes.
