I oppose the proposed development at Hockley Heath, which seeks to increase the village's size from 700 homes to 5,000, a 700% increase. This plan contradicts Solihull MBC's local policy that permits only small-scale development. The added traffic from 4,000 new homes would worsen congestion, especially during M42 issues, and increase CO2 emissions, raising accident risks on Aylesbury Road. Furthermore, the burden of services would fall on Solihull, which has already opposed this plan, potentially causing disputes between councils. This proposal threatens our quality of life.
