Hockley Heath is a small village with limited amenities, including two general stores, a pub, and a small school, but lacks a doctors' surgery and chemist. The Solihull MBC Local Plan allows only small-scale development, yet the proposed SG24 sites are on Green Belt land, which would worsen traffic congestion and increase accident risks. The village lacks infrastructure to support the SWLP Plan, and additional costs for services would fall on residents. I believe that over-development would destroy Hockley Heath's village character and should prevent merging with nearby communities.
