I formally object to the planning application for houses on the field behind "Long Ground" and "The Old Orchard" in Wellesbourne (Site 623) due to several issues. The site is in Flood Zone 3, posing significant flooding risks. Access is inadequate, with narrow paths creating safety hazards for pedestrians. Increased traffic congestion would exacerbate existing issues. The land has historic and environmental significance, being medieval "ridge and furrow" assessed as "high" in the Wellesbourne Neighbourhood Plan's landscape character sensitivity assessment. The development would strain local infrastructure, and I urge reconsideration to protect Wellesbourne's character, environment, and residents' quality of life.
