I oppose the development plan for Hockley Heath, where I've lived since 1979. The proposal for nearly 6000 new houses would drastically alter our small village of around 750 homes, contradicting Solihull MBC's assertion that only small-scale development is appropriate. We already face drainage issues, low water pressure, and traffic congestion on the A34. The destruction of green space threatens wildlife and goes against our government's commitment to reverse nature loss. Our village is on the fringe of Solihull but we have limited infrastructure, including primary school, doctor, pharmacy and public transport. Any proposed development falls within South Warwickshire but the burden of supplying these services falls to Solihull.
