I am expressing my concerns about the house building proposals in Hockley Heath, a village I have known since 1970. The plans to increase housing from around 750 to over 5000 would overwhelm our community, which lacks essential amenities, public transport, and adequate road infrastructure. As a disabled person reliant on a scooter, I fear for my safety on the roads, which are already inadequate. Additionally, the proposals threaten wildlife habitats and the character of our village, while the local councils seem unable to manage the impact of such development.
