As a resident of Hockley Heath, I am concerned about the large-scale housing developments proposed by South Warwickshire Council. Our village, with only 700 homes, lacks the necessary infrastructure to support this increase. The local primary school cannot accommodate additional pupils, and our already congested roads will suffer further from increased traffic. We also lack adequate healthcare facilities, and the burden of new population in terms of health, transport, schooling, refuse collection etc would fall on Solihull Council who have opposed the development. Additionally, the area has drainage issues, and developing on Green Belt land would harm local biodiversity.
