As a lifelong resident of South Warwickshire, I have witnessed significant changes and understand the need for more housing. However, I question the proposed volume and type of development, particularly in relation to Green Belt land, without sufficient exploration of brownfield sites and empty properties. The area faces numerous challenges, including overcrowded roads, limited healthcare, and a lack of employment opportunities. I believe that developments like BW would irreparably harm the rural character of Wilmcote, Bearley, and Pathlow. If SG18 were also allowed development would spread to remaining villages until the whole area up to Alcester becomes a conurbation. Large developments often do not meet the initially promised required infrastructure and low-cost housing.
