I have several objections to the proposed SG24 development in Hockley Heath. There are existing water drainage issues on Stratford Road, and I fear further development will exacerbate these problems, potentially leading to local flooding. This development contradicts Solihull MBC's local plan, which supports only small-scale projects in the area. It would also increase traffic congestion on both the A3400 and Aylesbury Road, harm wildlife, and diminish green space, negatively affecting residents' wellbeing. Additionally, the village lacks the necessary infrastructure for education, health, and transport. There may be funding disputes over the burden of new population, especially as Solihull has opposed the development.
