I object to the plans for new homes around Hockley Heath, as they are disproportionate and unfair. The area lacks sufficient amenities, such as schools and transport links, to support the additional population. The traffic, particularly on Stratford Road, is already problematic, and issues with flooding and drainage will worsen with climate change. The Green Belt should protect the environment and wildlife. The rural identity of Hockley Heath is at risk. Solihull Council's local plan emphasises limited development to preserve the village's character.
