I have lived on Luddington Road since 2002 and strongly object to the proposed development behind my house for several reasons. The plans contradict the core strategy 2011-2031. My primary concern is that the development threatens flood management in an already vulnerable area. Previous suggestions for a buffer between properties would harm our privacy and natural light. The new development would worsen traffic congestion along the B439, especially during school mornings. Additionally, the area is home to various wildlife. After 66 years in the town, I am disheartened by ill-conceived projects that negatively affect the functioning of what was a thriving market town.
