I am writing to oppose the inclusion of SG24 as it will lead to overdevelopment which is excessive and disproportionate eroding village identity. Each site in SG24 is a greenbelt and development on this site will lead to irreversible destruction of the greenbelt and will have wide ranging impact on the character, environment and biodiversity. There is lack of infrastructure to support the already stretched roads, schools and healthcare facilities. There are significant flooding and drainage issues associated with the site.
The unsustainable overdevelopment proposed under SG24 would irreparably damage Hockley Heath’s character, environment, infrastructure, and quality of life. It fails to demonstrate exceptional circumstances for Green Belt release, ignores significant viable alternatives and lacks the essential infrastructure planning required for sustainable development.
