The development is at odds with Solihull's Local plan which only allows small scale development on the site. The proposed development will put pressure on Solihull's schools, transport, health and refuse collection service. The village suffers from water drainage and flooding issues and is in greenbelt. This development would significantly increase traffic on the A34 as all residents will need access to A34, which already is congested, particularly when there are problems on the M40/M42. The development would harm wildlife and impact on biodiversity. The loss of green space would also impact significantly on the wellbeing of existing residents.
The village does not have the infrastructure in terms of education, health and transport to sustain a development of this size.
