Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I have reviewed the recent proposals for large scale housing plans in the local areas and would like to oppose such plans for the following reasons.

Firstly, this is predominantly Green Belt land, that has been protected for the good of the local people, visitors to the area, the environment, wildlife and biodiversity.

Our roads already struggle to cope with levels of surface water and damage due to high volumes of traffic. The slightest problem on local motorways lead to local roads being gridlocked. Additional housing will not help with water levels but will certainly increase volumes of traffic.

Hockley Heath is a lovely area to live in and to visit, but will become lost in the middle of a major development if this goes ahead. It is certainly at odds with Solihull MBC's local plan for small-scale developments appropriate to the area.

The additional population within the local area will require infrastructure that does not currently exist, such as education, doctors, dentists, and suitable transport systems.

I also have a concern that a major increase in local population will increase the ongoing worry following the closure of A&E at Solihull Hospital.
