In addition to opposing this specific development, I strongly object to the sheer scale of
development proposals across Lapworth. The village is facing an overwhelming number of new
housing plans that threaten to erode its rural character and unique charm. Lapworth is a village,
and it must remain a village - not be gradually transformed into an overdeveloped suburb.
Excessive development will put immense pressure on local infrastructure, roads, and services,
permanently altering the community we cherish. We must protect our countryside and ensure
that any future development is proportionate and respectful of the village’s character.
In conclusion, I believe these objections are important because:
Traffic Safety Risks – Chessetts Wood Road is already dangerous; more traffic will increase
accidents.Overdevelopment – 20 dwellings are excessive and out of scale, ruining rural views.
Strain on Services – Roads, schools, and healthcare can’t support more housing.Threat to
Village Identity – Lapworth must remain a village, not an overdeveloped suburb.Call for
Responsible Planning – Development must be sustainable and respect the community.
