The village has surface drainage issues which will be made worse with more development. The site is in green belt and at odds with Solihull's local plan. The development will increase traffic on A34. It will have detrimental impact on the area's wildlife and biodiversity and loss of green space will be detrimental to well being of the residents. The character and local distinctiveness of the area will be lost. There is lack of infrastructure in terms of schools, transport, health and refuse collection which will fall on Solihull MBC who have already opposed the development. The houses will not be affordable to first time buyers.
