I have lived in Hockley Heath for decades and have observed the negative impact of modest developments on the local infrastructure and facilities. Issues such as flooding, noise, and air quality have worsened, which threatens the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Roads like the A3400 and School Road cannot accommodate increased traffic safely. Additionally, there is a lack of cycling infrastructure and poor maintenance of footpaths. While I recognise the need for more housing, it must be accompanied by adequate employment, transportation, and community services. Therefore, I must oppose the plan.
