I oppose to this plan as I understand the proposed land is on Green Belt land which should only be built on in exceptional circumstances. The new homes would impact on green space which would harm wildlife and effect the wellbeing of existing residents. We like Hockley Heath for its rural feel!
The village does not have the means to support a development as large as this i.e. education, health and transport. I also understand Solihulll MBC's local plan states that only small scale development is appropriate for Hockley Health.
The Stratford road already floods regularly during heavy rain and will only worsen if there is further development. Also when there are problems on the M40/M42, the A34 gets significantly more busy which will only get worse and increase the risk of accidents if the development goes ahead.
Solihull Council have already opposed the development. Please do not build on the land.
