It is recognized that small-scale development to address local needs may occur outside of
designated Priority Areas, and Kingswood is one such location being considered. The potential
development sites in Kingswood are currently within Green Belt areas. Development of these sites
will only be considered if there are clear sustainability advantages, which would serve as the basis
for demonstrating exceptional circumstances to justify removing the land from the Green Belt. The
main criterion for this decision will be whether these sustainability benefits exist, supported by
relevant evidence to assess various factors. While supporting documents already provide a range of
evidence, it is recommended to supplement this with input from local residents about how the
village operates in practice. The detailed concerns outlined below address key issues raised by the
evidence regarding the land east of Station Lane.
