1600 new houses in Shipston. The change and pressures the recently built 400 odd houses is enough and has changed our town and now this!

. Our schools are full, the primary school already sends some of the Shipston kids to Brailes Primary school as it is full. The secondary School will need expanding and has no sixth form. Are you planning on building new schools? The doctors surgery is already under pressure. Our hospital is closed and will reopen with no beds, the infrastructure of Shipston was not made for large amounts of traffic. What will happen to the bridge at Shipston with all the large building works traffic, will it collapse or be damaged? Will there be funds to repair it? Are you going to build new car parks for the thousands of new cars. Each household will have at least one car. If they have two we will be looking at 3,200 more vehicles through the town each day.
Since the 400 odd new houses have been built in Shipston their speed count and traffic has gone up. 3,200 new vehicles speeding through our village will be a disaster, will you be building a bypass?

I deal on a monthly basis with flood issues and sewerage problems, this includes Cherington and Shipston too. We have an ongoing problem NOW, what do you think 1600 new houses and their sewerage will do to the area? Will you be building defensive walls so they don’t flood?
Please look at the bigger picture and not just trying to tick a box and sort a problem. These houses will be a massive mistake for our already struggling town. We have had enough new houses now. Time to stop.
