Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I would like to object to the development of the land labelled SG19 near Trinity Mead.

Impact on Local Wildlife: The area identified for the proposed development is home to a number of species that are of significant environmental value. The development of new houses threatens to disrupt their natural habitat, which could lead to a decline in biodiversity. This area is an important sanctuary for [insert specific wildlife, e.g., rare bird species, bats, amphibians, etc.], and I am concerned that the construction and increased human activity will irreparably damage these delicate ecosystems. It is essential that proper wildlife impact assessments are conducted, and more consideration is given to preserving the natural environment and the species that depend on it. I would also be concerned about drainage into the brook from any new development and the effect this would have on the wildlife. The brook is an ancient waterway that naturally floods and is a haven for wildlife.

Traffic and Safety Concerns: Traffic in the area is already at a problematic level, with congestion during peak hours causing delays and concerns for safety. Adding more housing would only exacerbate these issues, putting further strain on local infrastructure and road networks. The increase in vehicles would also heighten the risk of accidents, especially in an area that is not designed to accommodate additional traffic volumes. Furthermore, the development's potential to increase pedestrian and cyclist activity raises concerns regarding safe access to schools, parks, and local shops. The traffic would increase and there is already absolute gridlock in the mornings with cars trying to cross the traffic island by the Shell Garage. There are cars coming from Meon Vale along the Shipston Road causing queues in the morning up to the Waitrose Island. The traffic backs up down the Banbury Road with cars trying to come from Tiddington and prior to that around the gyratory.

Insufficient Infrastructure: In addition to the traffic concerns, the surrounding area lacks the necessary infrastructure to support an influx of new residents. Local schools, healthcare services, and public transport systems are already stretched, and it is unclear how the development would address these gaps.
For these reasons, I strongly urge the planning committee to reject this proposal or consider alternative solutions that will better protect the local wildlife and improve the infrastructure before additional housing is built. I trust the committee will take these issues into careful consideration during the decision-making process.
Thank you for your attention to these important matters. I look forward to your response.
