We would agree with the overall score for this site as we believe the site scored better than all other sites put forward in Radford Semele in all categories and as such this site should be put forward as a housing land allocation. Out of a total of 880 Call for Sites, only 54 sites scored higher than site 664.
The site scored higher (Amber) due to being within 500m of the rural listed buildings, the Parish Church of St Nicholas, The White Lion PH and 64 and 66 Southam Road and 20% of the site being within 25m of a Conservation Area. When considering the impact of developing this site as set out in paragraph 212 of
the NPPF the impact on the significance of this designated heritage asset would be less than substantial harm. We consider under the appropriate tests that a masterplan for this site could be prepared that would ensure mitigation of the less than substantial harm and that a public open space provision would outweigh that harm.
