I wish to submit my opposition to the plans to bills thousands of homes in Hockley Heath village.
I have resided in this village on and off for the last 20 years. I have witnessed how growth from other villages has spilled over and already caused serious issues.
The flooding that occurs now in adverse weather has caused roads to completely shut down and become impassable , not to mention what this has done to the land and gardens.
The traffic has seen a significant increase especially on School Road where the village school sits recently, a young child almost hit by a car due to the congestion .
Whilst on the subject of the school, I have been victim to 2 children being unable to attend the same state secondary school due to over subscription already in the village, cant fathom how building 5000+ more homes will cater for the education of children moving in ?
As you are obviously aware this land is greenbelt and although not an expert in environmental issues, I am under no Illusion that this will have undoubtedly and negative impact especially as this land has been earmarked to be built on in exceptional circumstances only.
I am happy to discuss this massive father and would like to be kept up at eight with the plans.
