Alcester is a small town of just over 6,000 residents. Schools are already oversubscribed. There is not the infrastructure (doctors etc) to take a large development of 3,000 homes so nearby on site SG21. There is no public transport along Alcester Heath and no pavements or pedestrian crossings. There is no longer a train station in Alcester, therefore everyone is reliant on using a car. Any development should be concentrated around a rail station, such as the underused Stratford Parkway. Alcester floods on a regular basis. The removal of all the vegetation and replacing with buildings on SG21 would severely add to this problem as the site is on a slope and after rainfall, you can clearly see the rainwater cascading and pooling down the B4090 towards Alcester Town.
