Strongly objects to proposals to build 4,200 homes on sites west of Europa Way, Lower Heathcote Farm to the south of harbury lane, Woodside Farm to the north of Harbury Lane and east of Whitnash.
The requirement does not take into account the need for supporting infrastructure such as schools, leisure facilities etc and the provision of offices and factories for employment. What consultation has been undertaken with Severn Trent on the feasibility of providing the necessary facilities and infrastructure?
No travel survey has been undertaken. The new housing could easily involve 8,000 more vehicles to the further detriment of air quality in the towns.
It will have a serious impact on access to the M40 junctions and traffic travelling in and out of Warwick and Leamington. Congestion at the start and end of the day will become worse and with the limited bridges over the rivers this will impact on bus and train services as well as the time it takes to get to Warwick Hospital. The towns will be subjected to a greater risk of traffic damage and air pollution.
