This development has all the hallmarks of desperation. The area is of significant archaeological interest with the site of the Holy Well and the Regia Via Way. Sydenham houses are already encroaching and it feels like we are being swamped. There is a definite need for affordable housing which the Council should build in smaller pockets. Projections for growth are based on guesswork. Social housing/homelessness argument has not been satisfactorily dealt with.
