We are writing with regards to the above consultation and specifically with respect to GT11. We are concerned about the proposed traveller sites near Chase Meadow for the following reasons:

- it will result in a strain on the existing infrastructure which has been sized to take account of the existing and approved developments in this area.

- it is too close to an expanding residential area, contrary to the aims of reducing tension between settled and traveller communities in plan-making and planning decisions.

- the area is prone to flooding and most recently in the autumn 2012 Hampton Road flooded in at least two locations at and near the proposed site.

- it would be detrimental to the racecourse (which is host to many national events) and the historical aspect of Warwick, which are both fundamental to the appeal of the town and surrounding area, and indeed its economic prosperity.

- houses backing onto Hampton Rd already suffer from road noise, however we would be concerned that without adequate controls and a commitment from the district council, there would be an unacceptable increase in the level of noise.
