I could find no reference to the towpath upon which the recreational value of the canal corridor depends.
At present it is loosely surfaced if at all, needs constant maintenance and in parts is not really usable. Often more puddle than path.
There is a great opportunity to create a cycle and pedestrian path from Hatton to Radford. This would also offer a scenic and safe commuter route right through the District. It needs to be 2m wide, with a properly cambered permanent surface
