We are weary of repeating when proposals for each new Local Plan has been drawn up over the years that high quality green belt land must not be used for housing development. This current Local Plan MUST recognise and balance the needs for housing with the climate emergency and the need for nature conservation. In addition, development north of Leamington threatens the loss of identity of Leamington and Old Milverton as two separate communities, and would in due course subsume one with the other, destroying the unique character and well-being of each of them.
